Where: Kathmandu, Nepal

Gateway to the Himalayas, Nepal is the holy grail for backpackers. Even if you’re not here to conquer Everest base camp, there’s plenty of places to explore from Nepal. Journey from Delhi to Kathmandu or head out on the Annapurna Circuit Trek and discover the Nepalese Himalayas.

Where: North Morocco

Always loved the idea of staying in a riad, wandering the spice markets of Marrakech and venturing through the desert on camelback?
